The "Invisible car Tail light". From our work with plastic optical fibers we have thought of many applications and found the most interesting one was to replace current car tail lights. 

We tried several materials to hold the fibers in place, rubber sheets worked very nice and are flexible. For rigidity we molded acrylic sheets and using an IR laser we "drilled" holes in different patterns. The fibers of each pattern come together in one small bundle and is coupled to a color LED.
